Feeling Anxious vs. Being Anxious
What is normal vs. problematic anxiety? This workshop explores the different types of anxiety, symptoms and treatments. Anxiety has become a broad term in our society and there has been some confusion around normal vs. problematic anxiety. Is anxiety a feeling or a disorder? When is anxiety normal? How do I manage anxiety? How to I help someone I care about manage anxiety. These are the different areas that will be explored in this workshop to gain a better understanding of anxiety and how it may be impacting you or someone around you.
Mental Health Awareness - Knowledge is power!
When we can understand what mental health is; then we can be more aware and proactive in maintaining positive mental wellbeing. In this workshop we will explore the Mental Health Continuum and connect this by identifying where we are on the continuum and strategies to improve our mental health. We will also look at questions around when does our mental health become a problem vs. normal stress in our lives.
